Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru
Terroirs
Founded by the Citeaux abbey in the 18th century, the Clos de Vougeot is one of the most iconic vineyards in the whole of Burgundy with 50Ha.
Tasting
Transparent cherry red. Very complex, the foremost aromas are oak, vanilla, leather and fruit. Expressive and full. Its solid structure and length make this an excellent wine with amazing ageing potential. Powerful and charming.
Food Matching
Red meat served either roasted or with sauce, roast pheasant, wild boar, haunch of venison and matured cheeses (Camembert, Brillat-Savarin, Cîteaux).
